They've got some pretty strong programming in the rock and punk departments. A few real surprises, like Davila 666 and Thee Oh Sees (two of my favorite live acts), Red Fang, Nomeansno, Butthole Surfers, PS I Love You, My Goodness. Local hiphop gets a decent shake: Mad Rad, Champagne Champagne, Shabazz, Astronautalis, who was a highlight at SXSW for me. All that with the addition of Decibel programming, nixing Memorial Stadium for Key Arena (where they hope to serve beer), and moving the bigger comedy acts to the 842-seat Bagley Wright Theater. Today is the last day to buy the $29 any day tickets, with which you can buy now and choose later. Get 'em here. Stay tuned for the schedule announcement, coming sooner than you think.

See the press release, which includes all of this year's changes (.pdf) here.

Good to see Allen Stone in there too, he's blowing up everywhere else but here in Seattle where he's from?! I'm tellin' ya, you're sleeping at the wheel if you haven't heard this guy crush it on stage. I hear he's signed to Alicia Keys now... seriously, WTF?

I'd just like it to be known that I went to the website to buy a ticket at 11:54 and the prices had already gone up. No Thnx.

Dennis Coffey and Jessica Lea Mayfield are excellent additions.

I was secretly hoping that the Lil Wayne / Rick Ross tour was going to lineup with Bumbershoot, but no dice. I'm sure that would've been a logistical nightmare.

Much better than catering to the Federal Way / Kube 93 crowd to guarantee attendance. I dig this lineup.

"Eyehategod? Holy Christ! Hahaha. Love it! Woe be to the tourists who accidentally stumble into that morass. Look forward to seeing them again."

That goes double for Atari Teenage Riot!

call me a limp-wristed local house pussy, but i'm impressed by the inclusion of pezzner and LCG.

and yeah, hall & oates would make a pretty good headliner.

Mighty thin lineup. In fact, the thinnest in memory. The headliners are H&O, Presidents of the USA, and The Kills? Really? Blaaahhhh!!!! CHBP has a much better lineup, with TV on the Radio headlining the Saturday sets.

First comment mentions The Decemberists, who are scheduled to play Marymoor Park August 22, and Neko Case is playing the Edgefield in Troutdale, OR July 8. Both played last year's B-shoot, so perhaps you were looking at that schedule instead of this year's list? Neko will likely play the Woodland Park Zoo at some point over the summer as well.

I'm glad they moved into bigger venues and spread things out a bit. Bumbershoot's still over-commercialized and not my thing, but I like that they're making a serious effort to improve the experience.

Looks like a first come first served mainstage wristband thing. What's nice is that the one day ticket prices are for whatever day you choose. I can't remember if that was done before.

When do they tell us what day each of these acts will be playing? Will they be doing that stupid wristband for the mainstage thing again?
