#1 Fan Smiths / Morrissey Covers - YouTube Mega-Post

Shyness may be nice, but it certainly shouldn't stop you from singing your life in front of a digi-cam and then uploading the results onto thine World Wide Web. Here's a collection of proud fans doing their best to perform the music that they hold dearly. Remember when viewing these clips that it's so easy to laugh & it's so easy to hate but it takes strength to be gentle and kind.

Somebody put together a Seattle Smiths tribute band. I'll be Andy Rourke. We'll call it The Smaths. We can call our first record Safeways, Here We Come. We'll make a mountain of money and turn the viaduct into a waterslide for cars instead of whatever else it is that is currently planned.

The alpha & omega of Smiths covers is Frank Sidebottom's sublime Panic.

The official video has been removed from youtube but there's a few decent live performances knocking about.

I just received an email about an all girl Smiths cover band in the 1990s called SMUTS, but no videos seem to exist.
