Fatally All Mixed Up: Amy Winehouse

Amy Winehouse has joined the 27 club. Her behavior was polarizing but most people agree that she could sing from a place where many singers cannot or would prefer to not visit. Maybe leading a troubled life and continually courting disaster makes from a better artist, whether that artist can help it or not. Regardless, it's tragic.

Rest in peace, sordid siren.

I haven't heard much of her music, but "Love is a losing game" is a great song.

"Sordid siren" is pretty great, Derek.

Michael K over at dlisted's been reveling in her messy glory for years. I like what he said today, when he could say anything at all.
A lot of people are saying that we all saw this coming, but I really didn't. Maybe I'm naive as all fuck. But I thought Amy Winehouse would outlive us all and make a million more albums and throw spit bombs at a million more bitchy fans. You know, like Keef Richards or Courtney Love. I really don't know what to say...

Rest in peace, Amy. Your voice spoke to my broken heart, nobody could wore a busted mound of black polyester hair like you and ballet slippers will never be the same again.
