Extra Rare Seattle Punk Footage From 1981

Posted by on Wed, Oct 5, 2011 at 8:15 AM

HOLY WHOA. Here's a totally ruling TV report on punk rock from 1981 for KOMO's P.M. Northwest. Footage of the legendary Gorilla Room, 2nd Time Around Records & a guy with a safety pin in his face. Real mind blowing stuff.

"What you look for in an under aged club is just bare walls, you have absolutely nothing there. It has to be an absolute minimal environment so there's nothing that can really get damaged." - Brian Runnings, Gorilla Room Manager

The YouTube account this video was posted on also contains mounds of other historic gems, shown after the jump. Thanks a lot, nearSeattle84!

I really would like to know what became of those interviewed in the first piece. Like, interview them for Hollow Earth.
