Sometime back I had a very similar right butt-hip bruise from a bad fall on a steep asphalt road trying to cross country ski during one of our rare snowstorms. The green parts were amazing. Skip to several years later when right hip pain caused me to stop running. Skip to this past July when I got a new metal hip..... but, I'm back to running anyway. Make sure you get checked out.

Jeebus. Watch out for blood clots on that one, dude. May I recommend massaging that beast with some Arnica gel. STAT!
