Resident Advisor's Readers Poll: Top 100 DJs of 2011

Posted by on Wed, Dec 7, 2011 at 11:38 AM

Resident Advisor has become a paragon of electronic-music reportage and critique online, and this year's readers poll of the top DJs shows that its audience is pretty sharp, too. I admit, I don't know who list-topper Jamie Jones is, but I am impressed that Seth Troxler made it to #2 and Ricardo Villalobos finished at #4. (On a sadder note, nobody from Seattle made the cut, and this top 100 list includes only nine women.)

By the way, Max Cooper, who came in at #93, will be performing at Re-bar Fri. Jan. 13. This event represents the auspicious start of a new monthly organized by Decibel.

I first got into Jamie Jones after hearing one of his tracks (as part of Hot Natured) on a Beef Records podcast.

and I've been in deep smit ever since. It's such a nice mix of trippy loopy tribal disco tech house remix with bass that hits you in the ass.

I'm so happy the whole Wolf & Lamb family is getting play out here on a regular basis (Thx Sean).

9 women is better than DJmag's top 100 list from this year that had ZERO women.
