To my ears, "Tumble Down" brings to mind a louder, looser, lower-fi House of Love, but then, I think a lot of Slumberland signings sound like House of Love (among other Creation acts). In listening to their earlier tracks, I'm hearing more Ramones and Buzzcocks (they also cite the Descendents and Redd Kross as influences). The new LP was mixed by Monte Vallier (Swell, Weekend).
The Bay Area trio consists of Phil Benson (vocals, bass), Corey Cunningham (guitar), and as the press release would have it, "the unfortunately-named Nathan Sweatt" (drums). Previous releases include a 2010 six-song cassette—yay, cassettes!—and two 2011 singles on Slumberland.
