Another yawntastic Sasquatch. But that's ok. There will be plenty of parking on Capitol Hill that weekend.

Yeah, not feeling it so much this time.

Generally pleasant lineup for Memorial Day weekend; glad to see that there isn't too much overlap with the Clonechella twins.

wow a better than usual number of female artists/female-fronted groups. too bad i can't deal with 20k drunk doucehbags and the girls that love them in the hot weather anymore.

That's the best line up I've seen in years. Admittedly no superstars of the moment, but some really cool musical choices, Wild Flag, Little Dragon, Nobody Beats the Drum, plus loads of great local hip-hop, and Beck is a fucking hero. For the first time since Bjork & Manu Chao, I think I'ma go to this one.

did the end book the lineup this year?

@8

I think so, too!

Let the Top-40 dipshits from @1-7 be a bunch of cry babies. It's a "bad" lineup for them since they haven't heard of any of the artists (not because they suck). Let the corporations continue to spoon feed them the craptastic trash they eat up via Rolling Stone and mainstream radio. Some of us actually have standards. You empty-headed bubbleheads are a waste of the earth's precious resources.

@10 hilarious. It's actually the exact opposite. The mainstreamers love this lineup. People with taste hate it.

@10 "top 40 dipshits" let's test this. Your headliners are: Bon Iver, beck, jack white, the shins and girl talk. All top-40 hit makers. There are a few decent bands but it's overloaded with terrible local acts and mainstream drivel

Who would you people like to see play? I'm lost trying to figure out what's "mainstream" and what's not in this "hipster" paranoia age. That seems like a perfectly fine weekend of entertainment for the assholes who like to drive out and spend 3 or 4 nights sleeping in tents and spending hundreds of dollars listening to 25 minute sets by bands that Pitchfork told them to like. Is the line-up at "Itunes Live" (or whatever the fuck they call this fest) not "hip " enough for you? then get off your lazy Parks and Recreation watching ass and go see live music in small clubs. Jezuz christ...GEt a fucking life...

What Now? 14
Your favorite band sucks.

They sold out/they're mainstream/they're derivative, and you're douchebag for even mentioning them.

Now I'm going to smoke this cigarette in a totally non-affected way.

Har har har.

Here are the folks I'm excited about:

Jack White, Bon Iver, The Shins, Beirut, Girl Talk, The Roots, The Head & The Heart, Portlandia, Feist, Silversun Pickups, Metric, M. Ward, Little Dragon, Tune-Yards, Blind Pilot, Beats Antique, Apparat, Blitzen Trapper, The Cave Singers, Shabazz Palaces, Sbtrkt, Zola Jesus, Active Child, Beat Connection, Thee Satisfaction, Dyme Def, Fresh Espresso, The Physics, Metal Chocolates, Katie Kate

There are now 1 billion bands. I counted.

What Now? 15
Wait, am I the hipster, or am I making fun of hipsters? Fuck, I can't remember.

Hipster is a bad thing, right?

Go Yankees!

Nero, Wolfgang Gardner, and Don't Talk to the Cops are wasted on this crowd, as evidenced by the comments.

This is a great lineup for people who would go to Sasquatch. Thankfully, I've seen everyone that I'd ever want to see on this list, so I don't even have to think about the trip out there. It's cool if it's End Fest at the Gorge Year 2, I'm not mad - you have to sell those tickets.

Beats Antique AND Tune-Yards on the same bill, good googly moogly. You all are going to be so cultured after this weekend!

Yeah, Cosby is right. Every one will be skipping Sasquatch to go to one of his many DJ nights instead.

Besides, nobody goes to Sasquatch anymore--it's too crowded.

I personally think this is the weakest lineup in years based on the non-local stuff. Definitely some cool locals though, so more power to them for getting to play to a ton of people!

I have no doubt that a lot of people will go to Sasquatch. I feel like everyone except me in this comment thread is saying that, but feel free to keep hating.

Thanks for reading my comment.

Line out wouldn't be the same without your inane opinion on every single post.

Cheers!

I think this lineup is great. The highlight would be Cloud Cult and Shearwater! I wish they'd tour together. It's a shame I can't deal with outdoor concerts. Is Lineout going to have a list of the secret shows a lot of these groups play in Seattle before Sasquatch?

the headliners should be bands that would never play a smaller venue (massive attack, bjork, the cure, etc). i would need prince or an act like that to bring me out and the more indie bands would be a bonus. i love shabazz and i'll bet seeing them at neumos was a more rewarding experience than seeing them at the gorge. there are lots of bands on this line up that i like, but i prefer more intimate venues. why would you drive 3 1/2 hours away and put up with all of the fesival bullshit to see a bunch of bands that you could see in a decent sized club? i can only see 2 reasons: you prefer a festival atmosphere to a smaller venue....or because there are so many bands you're hoping that you'll find new bands that you like.

best festival lineup i've seen all season. I would love to see all of the major headliners + walk the moon. this band puts on an incredible live show. their Anna Sun EP is up on their website for a preview of all of the energy this band possesses! http://bit.ly/yALufj
