Here are just some the music-related things I saw in the Nashville International Airport this weekend:

Meanwhile, country artists like George Strait and other names I didn't recognize welcomed me to the airport and told me to go to the information booth if I had questions. There were guitars on display. Even the shoe shining station had a guitar as part of the logo, but I didn't take a photo because a very grumpy businessman was getting his shoes shined and it looked like he wanted to be left alone.
All throughout Nashville, every bar and club with live music has a guitar pick-shaped sign outside of it, designating it as a live music venue. The Nashville Predators have six lines going through their jersey numbers, representing the strings on a guitar, and the inside of their collars have piano keys on them. And YOU CAN SING KARAOKE IN THEIR CABS.

I love you, Seattle. I love your music scene, and there's a lot of history here. But you sure do have a lot of work to do if you want to let airport travelers know they're in the City of Music.
