The new version of "Black Car" by David Chandler and Leah Rosen, who share synth and programming duties, isn't as driving as the D.C. band's original, but it isn't bad. The song will appear as an unlisted track on their first full-length, We Are Not the Same. Interestingly, they haven't played live yet, but expect a few dates in support of the record, a follow-up to their 2010 Disorders digital EP.

Below: first single from the album, "The Window," which I like even better.

Lux self-releases We Are Not the Same on April 3, 2012. Amusing comment from the Cover Me blog, which premiered the "Black Car" rendition: "Damn, I was hoping for a Beck cover." Fun fact: BT guitarist Mike Schulman founded Slumberland, which issued Black Tambourine's Complete Recordings in 1999.

Would there be a web-site that collects group promotional photographs of a White Boy & Girl Standing Against A Wall Looking In Opposite Directions?

If not, get on it, world.

Not bad, but those fit more the One Member Looks In A Different Direction Than The Rest Of The Band archetype. Which does deserve its own web-site, too.
