Nightlife / Two-Block Radius / Business Now That Blockbuster No Longer Occupies the Building at 1514 Broadway...

...who's going to make it into a venue. Or, say, a mini golf course with a bar. That shit would just print money. I want five percent for coming up with the idea. I'll apply for the patent later.

Hey, that's where I want to put my bookstore/magazine/fanzine emporium catering to music journalism fans the way that Ravenna's Cinema Books caters so well to cinephiles. Of course, it probably needs to only be a third of that footage -- plenty of room for the mini-golf course and (no question) bar to talk music about in.

What Capitol Hill really needs is a music store. Not a record store, one that sells instruments and strings and drums sticks and whatnot. Capitol Hill has the greatest concentration of musicians in the city and they all have to go across town to buy gear. Whoever gets their act together and opens one first is guaranteed to make a mint.

@9: I've always been mystified by that too, but I think the location next to Ballet, where Money Tree tried to move in and then bailed, would be a better size for a music store.
