Album Flaming Lips' Record Store Day Release Looks Pretty Awesome

Record Store Day is April 21st—a month away!—and details about all the limited-edition releases are starting to pour in. The latest news tells tale of a Flaming Lips double marbled vinyl LP that features collaborations with artists like Biz Markie (girl—you got what I neeeeed!), Nick Cave, Lightning Bolt, and Yoko Ono. Neat!

However, with over a dozen songs, it also features collaborations with artists I do not like at all like Ke$ha, Bon Inver (zzzzzzzz), and Chris Martin. Still, I'm still curious to hear what the Lips came up with with them. And I want to hear what a song called "Helping the Retarded to Know God" sounds like (featuring Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes). In other Flaming Lips/RSD news, the band is also releasing a pink split seven-inch with Mastodon on Record Store Day, which might be worth picking up as well.
