Another Actor Gone Musician: Ed Helms, an actor known from The Hangover and The Office, is getting his first bluegrass album ready. Ed Helms & the Lonesome Trio consists of his college friends Jacob Tilove and Ian Riggs. A couple of shows are in the works including one that will have Steve Martin at the band's side.

What A Way to Comeback: Soundgarden released their first all-new song in 15 years along with a video "Live to Rise." The song is for their contribution to the movie The Avengers. The group shares the release of their first new song in 15 years off a compilation with Shinedown, Papa Roach, Black Veil Brides and Buckcherry.

Start Them Young: Mike Park of California's pop/ska/punk label Asian Man Records is starting a children's music label called Fun Fun Records. The label will feature Dan Potthast from Mu330, Greg Attonito from Bouncing Souls, along with many others. The link also provides a free digital sampler of what to expect from the label.

And You Thought the Phish Record Store Day Release Was Hard to Get: The "bloody records" which the Flaming Lips are releasing will be a hard one to get. The two LP set titled The Flaming Lips and Heady Fwends will have 10 special copies that were pressed with actual blood samples of the contributing artists on the album. How much will this set you back? Only $2,500.

Should be a Good Listen: Minor Threat's Lyle Preslar is going to be interviewed on tomorrow's episode of Going Off Track. Here's a preview if you're like me and have no patience to wait a full day.

Brad Pitt Should Ref This Fight: Apparently while Metallica and Lou Reed were recording Lulu, Lou called out Lars Ulrich to a street fight.

Big Surprise Here: The Darkness has a new album that will come out August 20th called Hot Cakes. The video for their single "Nothing's Going to Stop Us" is surprisingly pretty cute.

Up the Punx: Seattle punk band The Insurgence have new songs posted today.
