@4 - DID YOU SEE THE FONT ON THE SECOND RECORD???? talk about a horrible choice, plus at least on the first one it stands out and is easy to read the text.
Neither are that bad when compared to Leonard Cohen's brilliant new Old Ideas. I say this as most likely the biggest Leonard fan in Seattle (I have 5 Cohen tattoos). But his new album cover was designed by the man himself and is terrible. Nobody seems to mention it.
Number 2 is MUCH worse, what's with the 90s corporate shopping mall tattoos and belly button piercing? It teeters on the brink of the sublimely monstrous, but fails.
hmm "worst". like warhol's sticky fingers and underground peeling banana, the first cover plays on people's dirty thoughts while actually being rather innocuous. Incongruent indeed. The second cover seems just to attempt to be edgy in a pandering pedestrian tired & cliched manner. I haven't heard trophy wife, but carletta sue kay's performance and this cd are unique and exceptional & completely incongruent with the lp cover, which us obviously intentional.
