In a strange twist, a friend from Cleveland just hipped me to a Seattle band called Petty Vendetta—and I’m very grateful. As I’m swamped with work today, I’ll just leave you with a quick impression: Petty Vendetta do a lot of odd things very well, and you can’t fathom what they’re going to do from one track to the next, even if they signpost their tracks on SoundCloud with identifiers like “Future Funk,” “No Wave,” “EBM, Glitch,” “Post-Punk,” "DIY," etc. I love musicians like this—diverse, mercurial, and (duh) talented. Forage voraciously in their SoundCloud.
