African Fleet Foxes

For real...

The album, Rhythms del Mundo – Africa, a collaboration between Western and African musicians is an exploration of pop, rock and African music, pushing the parameters of some of the most famous songs from the last few years...

The tracklisting for this new album includes exclusive African versions of the following songs… Coldplay – ‘Viva la Vida’; Beyoncé – ‘I Miss You’; Eminem – ‘Not Afraid’; Fleet Foxes – ‘Mykonos’; Mumford and Sons – ‘Timshel’; Aloe Blacc – ‘I Need a Dollar’; Cee-Lo Green – ‘Crazy’; Plan B – ‘She Said’; Rokia Traore – ‘Is This love?’; REM – ‘Losing My Religion’; Red Hot Chili Peppers – ‘Under the Bridge’; Gotye – ‘Somebody That I Used To Know’; Bruno Mars – ‘Grenade’ and more.

I seriously want to hear an African version of "Mykonos":

And if I was directing this effort, I would give the tune over to South Africa's Ray Phiri and Stimela. Listen to "Whispers in the Deep" and hear why.

Hear the second part? Hear that beat? Hear what I'm thinking?
