I spotted sweet Sarah Moody of Hardly Art at the Silly Goose (Blink-182 cover band) show at Cha Cha earlier today and forced her to talk about her Blink-182 feelings:
Have you always been a Blink-182 fan?
I was into them in Jr. High and High School, or the Dude Ranch era. They were one of the few bands that toured to Anchorage, Alaska, where I grew up.
Have you ever, or do you currently feel any guilt about your Blink love?
Oh sure, it's not something you'd really want to blast out of your car with total confidence, and I had a good decade where I didn't think about them or listen to them. But it's all pleasure, no guilt. Although I guess I feel a little guilty when watching their music videos—they are grown men acting like 13-year-olds.
Did you enjoy the Silly Goose set? Did they do Blink-182 justice?
I always love seeing Silly Goose and it was the happiest crowd I've seen in a long time. The dude singing at the top of his lungs behind me was misquoting left and right and didn't even care. I love most anything Jenn Ghetto does and if she's going to have a cover band, I'm stoked that it's full of Blink-182 songs.
Okay, fav Blink song and member?
I'll go with "First Date" and Tom DeLonge.
Thanks Sarah!
For more evidence that this show really happened, Megan Seling managed to dance n' capture "Dammit" on video:
