Music News for July 26, 2012 feat. an AC/DC Virus in an Iranian Nuclear Facility, a Pussy Riot Supporter Sewing His Mouth Shut, and Lollapalooza Streaming Live Sets

Posted by on Thu, Jul 26, 2012 at 11:56 AM

Kind of Funny, Kind of Scary: An Iranian nuclear facility's system received a computer virus through its system that shut down part of their automation network as well as blast AC/DC's "Thunderstruck" throughout the facilities.

Actions Speak Louder Than Words: Russian artist Pyotr Pavlensky sewed his mouth shut with red string at a protest that was in support of releasing the Pussy Riot members.

Damnit: Muse was inspired by Skrillex on their latest album.

Texas Wasn't Big Enough This Time: Former Misfits frontman Michale Graves was arrested for having 6 grams of marijuana while passing through a border check point in Texas. Graves is a well known Republican and Ron Paul supporter.

For All The Wrong Reasons: The Dethklok and Lamb of God tour has been cancelled due to the incarceration of Lamb of God's singer Randy Blythe in the Czech Republic. The tour was supposed to start at WaMu Theatre on August 1st.

It's the Thought That Counts?: Green Day wrote a song about Amy Winehouse which will appear at the end of the ¡Dos! album coming out on November 12.

Shameful: Hardcore band Blood for Blood recently kicked out their singer due to alleged allegations of him assaulting a thirteen year old girl.

I Have My Pajama Onesie Ready to Go: Lollapalooza is going to be streaming on YouTube 48 selected sets including Jack White, Gaslight Anthem, Oberhofer, Walkmen, Die Antwood, and the Head and the Heart.

No one else has posted it, which is shameful! Torche released a video for their song "Kicking" that involves a sweet Kickball game.

So many things:

Michale Graves has always been a huge tool. Fuck him.

Such a shame about Lamb of God's singer, even if his band is terrbile.

Can't wait to not hear that Green Day song BARF CITY

Will totally not be surprised when the ignorant Blood For Blood fans start coming forward to defend this guy. :/

Torche rules, thanks for ending on a good note. :)
