On this day in 1959, American comedian, actress, satirist and singer Victoria Jackson was born. Jackson is best known for being on television and being in some motion pictures from the 1980s. In 1984, Jackson married Nisan Mark Eventoff, who was a magician and fire-eater. They had a daughter and then were divorced. Later she married somebody else and now she's a grandmother.

According to a 2011 article on WND.com, Victoria Jackson claimed she was spied on because of her political views.

"Also in 2009, I was speaking at a Westwood tea party in the heart of liberal LaLa land. As the crowd dispersed, a 'married' couple asked me to pose for a picture with them and then they didn’t leave. When my friends and I went to dinner, we felt obligated to include them. They were in the military. I said, 'Oh, I love the military! Thanks for your service!” I asked them which part of the military they were in and he answered, 'Intel.'

I said, 'What’s that?'

'Intelligence.'

'Oh! You’re a spy! You’re spying on me!'"

Before becoming a household name on Saturday Night Live, Jackson appeared in a M*A*S*H spin-off pilot called W*A*L*T*E*R that was never picked up. The show revolved around Corporal Walter "Radar" O'Reilly's post-Korean War life where he returns to Iowa and fails at farming.

Happy birthday, Victoria Jackson! Eat a cake!
