The only reason I like language is that it makes it possible to outline meanings that are impossible to express directly, creating for a moment an illusory sense of owning them. This is why I hate naming poems. Meanings that can be stated directly are unworthy of ownership, and naming something forces one to express what it “is.” For this reason I have decided to simply name poems after other things I like. If I had to name this poem, I would call it, “Boobs Boobs Boobs Screaming Jay Hawkins.”
