Via the Hollywood Reporter:

The singer made his opinions about former friend Madonna known in an interview with Australia's Channel 7 program Sunday Night, declaring that her career was "over."

“She’s such a nightmare. Her career is over, I can tell you that," John said. "Her tour is a disaster and it couldn't happen to a bigger cunt."

"I know one when I see one" doesn't apply here.

From the mouth of a bitter old man who hasn't had a hit in what, 27 years? (The Lion King doesn't count, because it was stupid.)

Elton John should apply to be a spokesman for the Romney campaign.

One thing you can say about Madonna - yes, she provided great moments of entertainment and changed with the times like some sort of magical chameleon, but in all her interviews and the few moments of witnessing her as Madonna Ciccone, she was never ever once - in my opinion - gracious about anything. People would travel miles and pay a fortune to see her, offer her flowers, and all she could say was, "I hate hydrangeas." Maybe she thought this Queen Bitch thing was cutting edge, or nouvelle feminist, or maybe she thought it was cute (and some people, I suppose, would agree with her).

I always found it distasteful that she was so unappreciative of her fans, so graceless, but I forgave her for it because she did incite a lot of fun. Now that she is moving out of the pop music acceptable age range, and now that she swims in money, she should be nicer to folks. It ain't cute anymore.

In addition to mentoring Scissor Sisters Elton's done likewise with the Aussie duo Pnau, whose remix album of Elton 70's stuff hit #1 on the UK album charts last month. Just sayin'.

One shouldn't take the opinions of Rush Limbaugh's gay whores too seriously.

Poor thing. His hair plugs have made him SUCH a bitch. Or maybe it's Lady Furnishings who did it.

What an awful excuse for a human being. I wonder if he was nicer when he was doing a lot of coke?

They both took $$$$ to perform in Israel breaking the cultural boycott of that inhumane theocracy so screw them! (No, they'd like that too much).

You Americans don't get the word "cunt". You always get it wrong. I suggest you all go and listen to Ricky Gervais for a proper schooling in swearing.

Elton and Madonna both seem insufferable, but Elton has the talent to back it up.
