Conflict of Interest / Bumbershoot Don't Talk to the Cops & El Mizell's Big-Man Moves

Don't Talk to the Cops' high-energy, party-maximizing hiphop tore up the Toyota Free Yr Radio tent thingy this evening. No surprise there. But what I really want to talk about is, El Mizell (aka The Stranger's hiphop columnist and blogger extraordinaire) busted some of the most animated moves for a big man since Minutemen's D. Boon stalked stages in the mid '80s.

My pitiful cell-phone camera couldn't properly capture Mizell in all of his kinetic fury, so you'll have to catch him in action at the next DTTTC show for actual proof.

Don't Talk To The Cops RULED the first day of the festival. So many smiles, and people actually DANCED (in SEATTLE)!! I get jitters every time I see them play, as if this is exactly where I need to be this moment in music history to see THE ACTION. Thanks for capturing the moment, Dave!
