I worked in Boston in the late '90's and had a Berkelee student/ metal drummer as an intern. Ah to be a budding Dave Lombardo in a sea of Buddy Riches! He had no end of amusing anecdotes about the confused but supportive looks he got when he dragged out the double kick for his class compositions.
