Flatstock almost didn't happen at this year's Bumbershoot, but thank goodness it did because LOOK! You can buy unicorn farts that smell like cotton candy!

The posters were beautiful, of course, but I thought the whole show suffered from poor lighting. A couple of the artists I spoke to complained about it as well. The guys at the Vera stall were doing their best to screen posters in their dim corner. When you looked at the ceiling, you saw lights all up in the scaffolding, but nearly all were turned off. Seems like a pretty big oversight for a visual arts showcase. Or maybe it wasn't an oversight?

My wife's first year selling posters as part of the Weapons of Mass Design studio. Glad to see her get some recognition. We should have those up on soon if you are interested.
