What Was Your Favorite Thing at Bumbershoot This Year?

Posted by on Tue, Sep 4, 2012 at 10:55 AM

For me? It's obvious. The motherfucking Promise Ring were the best thing about my weekend.

The band sounded so, so great, and they all seemed really happy to be there, playing songs that are well over a decade old, to a crowd who refused to forget them.

But enough about me. What did YOU love most at this year's Bumbershoot?

my #1 favorite thing was forgetting to read any stranger review of any show until now. What a misplaced pile of worthless hate.

But hey, at least y'all made a couple of bucks off the tickets.

Sorry for reposting this photo but seriously, shabazz palaces and THEESatisfaction had to be one of my favorite moments out of a rad Saturday.

Sharon Jones and the Dap Kings. This was our first time seeing them and our jaws dropped. We actually went to see her and stayed for most of Tony Bennett (that guy exudes a surprisingly enchanting presence and now I understand why he has done so well for so many years). But them Dap Kings. Wow. Tight.
