God*mmit! I've had a summer-flu-cold-thingie since last Wednesday, and I've missed so much. What else did I miss? Don't tell me there was even more, this past weekend...

Friday night brought Melvins Lite to the stage of the Showbox at the Market. Buzz rocked his usual white-boy afro and robe onstage. Dale Crover was flying solo on the skins alongside stand-up bassist Trevor Dunn who was the show stealer. I admire the relationship these musicians have with their instruments. The energy in the music never fails. The night was seamless from beginning to end. Each band's sound was consistent in that way where you never stopped enjoying yourself...
