My Monday Morning Earworm

Posted by on Mon, Sep 24, 2012 at 10:22 AM

This song crept into my brain this morning after I'd been creeping on a local band, I think, on Friday. The band didn't impress me, they're a typical bar band, but not smart enough to know they are actually just a bar band...rock kids and their egos today...GAH!! Anyways, I did take note of the band's "epic" closer jam as the guitarist had nicked Rush guitarist Alex Lifeson guitar lead from the track "Finding My Way," the first song off'a Rush's first LP. I guess the kid's DAD or uncle had the the first Rush tape? Not a bad earworm tho', for a Monday.

Also: "Finding My Way" was one of the first songs my first ever band learned. We were terrible, natch, but it is forever etched into my brain...and my heart. (sniff sniff) We also took, unsuccessfully, hopeful stabs at "Working Man."
