Chicago soul greats the Mandells are fucking KILLIN' me today via this midtempo shuffler, "Now I Know (I Really Love You)."
I dunno if I'd ever play this out, like, as I'd hate to kill the floor with SUCH a killer. See, tho' it IS danceable, sometimes the slower jams signal it's TIME TO SMOKE or GO GET A DRINK. Harrumph. "Now I Know (I Really Love You)" is the flip to the pounding "Don't Turn Your Back On Me"...yeah, what a fucking great double sider. Nerd fact: This was originally issued on Trans-World Sound, the Mandells' private label, but then picked up for wider distribution on Hourglass.
