Uh, I'm talking 'bout the SERIOUSLY short lived, but fucking HEAVY, early '70s Texas group of long hairs, STONE AXE, NOT the local Washington bar band, Stone Axe. This 45 will CRUSH YOUR BRAIN.
Stone Axe existed for only a few months—they split after their gear was stolen. Also of note, the band included two members from the infamous Josefus!!! Oh, and a pal of mine SAW them at a festival in 1971. His recollection was stoned, natch, but being so fucking heavy they left a lasting impression... I can only imagine.
