Tonight Newband Play With the Harry Partch Instrument Collection @ Meany Theater

Microtonal-music specialists Newband will have access to avant-garde composer/instrument builder Harry Partch's array of bizarre instruments for tonight's concert at UW's Meany Theater. This should be a rare and amazing glimpse into unique sound art. Newband will perform Partch's Castor and Pollux, Eleven Intrusions, and Barstow, Dean Drummond's Congressional Record or Before the Last Laugh, Mathew Rosenblum's Yonah's Dream, and other works.
