Lady Gaga, Don't Kill My Vibe

I was lightweight upset when I heard, earlier this year, that Rap's New Hope ™, Compton wunderkind Kendick Lamar, was going to be working with Lady Gaga on a song called "Partynauseous"—an apt title, for my money. Was this all gonna be a repeat of what we saw happen with Wale's wack ass? (And what happened there?) Relief came when good kid, m.A.A.d. city bore no trace of ol' girl—but I guess that's only because she couldn't record her part in time. Last night, though, she threw out this "LG Mix" video for one of the runaway favorites from Kendrick's album—with Gaga handling the hook. That song, "Bitch Don't Kill My Vibe", is now very aptly titled itself; Gaga's karaoke-star-ass voice does it's damndest to wreck Kendrick's thoughtful Compton-philosopher vibe. Suffice to say, this version would not be as beloved had it made the cut. You ever have somebody just blow your whole high, all in your face, talking nonstop about nothing, when you're trying to kick it? This is the audio equivalent.

I'm a total Gaga apologist, and even I hate this. Woof.
