206 Seattle Has Nearly 40,000 bands!

The exact number of musical acts in Seattle: 37,224. Our city has the ninth-highest number of musical acts in the US. The highest is LA. That city has too many bands for its own good. Portland is nowhere to be found in the top 20. Even Newark has more bands than Portland. Even fucking Phoenix has more bands than Portland. What's up with Portland? And really, why does LA have so many fucking bands? Curiously enough, when it comes to musical acts per 10,000 people, Tacoma stands at 16. Tacoma is the City of Rock Density!
