Knights In Satan's Service

Posted by on Wed, Nov 14, 2012 at 2:33 PM

Dig KISS on the popular '70s TV show Midnight Special playing "Black Diamond."

This was a promo appearance, evidently as their popularity was waning, arranged as a boost, hoping they wouldn't split. It's a great showing, this ain't the arena rock they're known for, erm, it's rockANDroll schticky, but there ain't no patented Knights In Satan's Service blood/tongue, vodka/orange juice or spitting fire. Watch all three KISS songs, "Deuce," "She'" and "Black Diamond," from the Midnight Special broadcast, but in blurr-o-vision and with thin and crappy sound HERE!

I always liked them better when they lip-synched on the Paul Lynde Halloween Special (jump to 26:07): http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4psTeRpQ-…

From the video description: The Paul Lynde Halloween Special is a Halloween-themed television special starring Paul Lynde broadcast October 29, 1976 on ABC. It featured guest stars Margaret Hamilton in her first reprisal of her role as The Wicked Witch of the West from The Wizard of Oz. Also guest starring are Billie Hayes as Witchiepoo from H.R. Pufnstuf, Tim Conway, Roz Kelly, Florence Henderson, rock band KISS, Billy Barty, Betty White and, in an unbilled surprise appearance, Donny and Marie Osmond.
