In case you can't get enough of the Toronto three-piece, who released their blistering Sub Pop debut in October, METZ are making two non-LP tracks available today, and you can listen to the A-side below (both were previously available as a now sold-out single*).

I like the way vocalist-guitarist Alex Edkins sings with a half-buried British accent, like a shouty Canadian version of Colin Newman. I don't think it's intentional, but I wouldn't be surprised if the lads were into Wire; that kind of thing can seep through the pores and into the mic (it also sounds like drummer Hayden Menzies is playing a set made out of rubber bands). Anyway, it's good!

* Since I pre-ordered the album from Sub Pop, they sent me the single gratis. A nice extra!

Trailer for "Dirty Shirt" and a live version of album track "Headache" below.

Sub Pop releases the digital single "Dirty Shirt" b/w "Leave Me Out" today. On Dec 19, Pitchfork TV will be live-streaming a METZ concert starting at 12:30pm ET.
