Ever since I first heard Blues Control's Valley Tangents way back in July, I've been looking forward to seeing the duo on stage, and now Lea Cho (keyboards) and Russ Waterhouse (guitar, synths) are finally hitting the road. For a preview of their show, here's a version of album highlight "Iron Pigs" recorded in a tiny room at Drag City's Chicago headquarters—but it still sounds big.
I posted the mime-tastic video for "Love's a Rondo" at this link, but I only just caught up with this clip, which finds the band in a more contemplative mood.
Blues Control plays the Comet Tavern on Mar 2 with Dull Knife. More dates here.
