Early Christmas Gift For Replacements Fans, Kind Of

Posted by on Mon, Dec 24, 2012 at 11:00 AM

Domino A&R dynamo Susan Busch recently posted a link to the recent Replacements documentary, which is now available to watch on YouTube. Color Me Obsessed is a pretty good oral history of the legendary band, though it seems somebody in charge wasn't willing to give permission to use actual Replacements songs during the film, which were replaced with the sounds of somebody tuning a guitar instead (?!?!?).

Regardless of not having a proper soundtrack, a majority of the interviews are insightful and chock full of unknown history. This video would make a great distraction if you need to duck away from your unpleasant family in the next few days.

Also, check out these Tumblr tags for Bob Stinson, the great unsung hero of rock & roll.
