Album / Upcoming Vox Mod in 2013: SYN-ÆSTHETIC

A new Vox Mod album SYN-ÆSTHETIC will appear in the 2013. Vox Mod (Scot Porter) did the animations himself for the above teaser.
How did you do the animation?
For many hours, probably equivalent to days including rendering, I hand-drew the animations with a Papermate felt-tip pen and a makeshift animation table which was a piece of clear acrylic with a lamp underneath it.
Where do the images come from? I see coral, marine organisms, and flame, and crystal. And Egyptians.
The idea for the images comes from the weird shapes I see before I fall asleep, usually they're more colorful though. I scanned each frame in and sequenced them into mini animations. Put effects on the video to make it white lines on a black background, added some glow, now you know!
