Hey You Fucking Kids! / Upcoming / 206 Sound Off! Announces Semi-Finalists; Starts Next Month

The EMP has announced this year's Sound Off! semifinalists—the 12 young bands (all members are 21 or under) will be competing for a performance at Bumbershoot, recording time, radio airplay, and more.

The semifinals start next month, on February 9th, with four bands playing each Saturday. The three bands that come in first place during each semifinal round, and one wild card band (voted on by the EMP's Youth Advisory Board), will play Saturday, March 2nd, at the SkyChurch.

Here's the semifinal schedule and line-up:

Saturday, February 9: Semifinals #1

Mister Mista / Seattle, WA (alternative)
The Fame Riot / Tacoma, WA (electro pop)
Shogun Barbie / Tacoma, WA (garage rock)

Saturday, February 16: Semifinals #2

The Female Fiends / Kent, WA (indie rock)
Maiah Manser / Seattle, WA (experimental)
SHEBEAR / Puyallup, WA (indie pop)
Rose / Portland, OR (hip hop)

Saturday, February 23: Semifinals #3

As It Starts / Lynwood, WA (indie rock)
