BOAT Is Releasing a New Album (and So Are Their Friends!)

Posted by on Mon, Jan 7, 2013 at 12:53 PM

Good news item #1: BOAT is releasing a new full-length this spring! It's called Pretend to Be Brave, and it'll be out March 12 via Magic Marker Records.

Good news item #2: When you pre-order the album, you'll get a cassette/mp3 download of the bonus album Pretend to Be Boat, which is "a track-by-track recreation of the LP by some of our favorite bands," including Throw Me the Statue, Aqueduct, John Roderick, and the Quiet Ones. Very cool!

Good news item #3: Every Monday, starting today, BOAT will get fans amped for the new album by releasing little treats—both cover songs and originals, artwork, and more. Today's gem is Throw Me the Statue's cover of the new BOAT song "Sharpshooters," which is the opening track Pretend to Be Brave.

Here, hear!:
