Hear New Music from Telekinesis

Posted by on Tue, Jan 8, 2013 at 11:41 AM

Today just won't stop. New Bowie, rumors of a Postal Service reunion, and now some new music from Seattle's own Telekinesis (AKA Michael Benjamin Lerner). The song, "Ghosts and Creatures," shows a departure from Telekinesis' catchy pop past, carrying a more mellow and spacey vibe. It's on the new album Dormarion, due out April 2 on Merge.

Telekinesis tour this spring, too, with an all-star band that includes members of Say Hi, Wild Flag, and the Globes. So far the April and May tour dates posted at don't include a Seattle stop, but since their last stop is May 21 in Utah, it's hard not to conclude that Sasquatch is a possibility (they'd sound real nice opening for the Postal Service on the main stage, don't you think?).

There is a Telekinesis solo set at the Croc on Wednesday though…
