I'm forever fascinated with bands that can somehow 'bang through an entire set. How the H-E-Double-Hockey-Sticks does it work? Do they train? Can a person beef up their neck muscles, so they will survive, night-after-night, on tour?
What's the secret? Also, what are your favorite headbangy-est bands?
I would really like to photograph them in 2013...

This show was originally set for summer, with Dethklok, and was to be the first show of the tour. But, then, Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe was imprisoned in the Czech Republic on charges of manslaughter. Randy was released, and tours rescheduled. Lamb of God were joined by In Flames, Hellyeah, and Sylosis. I don't think I've ever seen so much energy in a crowd at Showbox SoDo. The circle pit at the end was so massive and strong that it took out all 4 bands merch tables—one of which I was standing on! I think we sent them home properly...
