Daydream Machine are a new, promising Seattle psych-rock band who—based on the two songs they’ve made public—deserve a significant portion of your attention. “And I Love Her” bears a lovely, laid-back vibe À la Brian Jonestown Massacre, spangly guitar filigree, and lugubrious vocals in the Jim Reid vein. “Shoot You Right Down” gracefully rockets into Hawkwind’s spacey orbit, which is a very lofty realm, indeed. Here’s hoping the mysterious Daydream Machine play out soon and launch more music into the stratosphere.
