It's January 30th, 2013 And You're in a Rad Garage Band - GFY - The Perpetuated Spirits of Turpentine

Holy shit. Dig the Perpetuated Spirits of Turpentine, YES that is their name, lay down some PEE-unk rock...THIS is raw shit.

So, the flip, "I'm A Double Naught Spy," is obviously the "play" side, but it's "The Girl With the Sandy Blonde Hair" that I fancy. It teeters along while THREATENING to collapse. Fucking perfect. This group were a Virgina band and, perhaps, only had this one 45. What a doozy!

You need to set up a partnership with Amoeba so they can go and digitize these records. I'd buy the shit out of a Mike Nipper curated collection.

Not sure where the Youtube info came from but I can set the record straight. These songs (and 2 more, 4 total) were found on a tape my friends and I got from the owner/engineer at Musicol recording studio in Columbus, OH nearly 20 years ago. There was no hard info, the band name was either something we found associated with the tape or from the recording engineers recollection. Some years later Brent H contacted one of the three of us and got back in touch with Musicol to put it out. The song titles were derived from the songs, not sure which of us came up with them but they're obvious from the songs. They were never released on 45 and the band is claimed to have been mostly Ohio State students.

@2 George!! YES!!! Thanks for the info. (sigh) This is the one post, so far, I was without ANY proper info and had to rely on what I found, or didn't find, on teh internets. Fact, I was slightly reluctant to post this entry as a result, but the song is so good!
