Chris Brown Says He Deserves Respect, but What He Really Deserves Is...

Posted by on Wed, Feb 6, 2013 at 12:31 PM

Sigh. Chris Brown vented some feelings on Instagram last night, making it clear he was frustrated with his not-so-great reputation. MTV News has a screengrab of the rant, should you want to read it in full.

Here's an excerpt:

Im a human being and I honestly think I deserve respect im sick of being accused... Im Tired yall just don't understand I've been going through this shit since I was 19 years old.. you cant sit here and tell me to calm down, when am I gonna get a positive outcome out of anything I do? when can I get that feed back? Im TIRED do you read me im tired!!!!!! Im not gonna sit here and play victim, Im just tired of this shit... I pray every day and night for a new outcome... and just when everything seems to be going good some new shit happens..

New shit like... you get in another fight with Drake or Frank Ocean or a window? Or you have a "homophobic meltdown" during a basketball game? Or you say some sexist bullshit on Twitter? Or you get caught possibly lying about community service?

How can someone be so clueless about the repercussions of their own actions? What is there to respect, Chris Brown?

Respect is probably out of the question, so what does Chris Brown deserve? It's time for an official poll! Pick below, or leave your own genius suggestion in the comments.

The only reason I chose jail time is because of the (pretty blatant, easily provable) lying about his community service. I mean come the fuck on. He gets the Celebrity Punishment (which is ridiculously light for the offense committed) of easy community service- something he is far more capable of completing than the average person since he shouldn't have any major money woes when taking the time off to do it- and yet HE STILL CAN'T JUST NUT UP AND DO IT? That's giving a massive middle finger and the greatest sign one can make that the lesson was NOT learned.

And this letter simply cements my theory. He's an ignorant asshole with anger issues and absolutely no self-awareness.

I'm perplexed. "A swift kick in the balls," while clearly merited, isn't one of the options. What to do?

I think he deserves to stop making awful songs. No, wait: WE deserve for him to stop making awful songs. RHIANNA deserves better than a dude that beats her up. CHRS.BRWN deserves a whole bunch of pies in the face... one a day, everyday, for the rest of his life. Plus the rest of what everybody says.

i almost think he deserves to have Frank Ocean press criminal charges on him just to put a further crimp in his step. but then again, i don't really think anybody deserves that shit.

he deserves to get beat like a smoker in a alleyway, the quickest route to humility.

"he deserves to get beat like a smoker in a alleyway, the quickest route to humility."

He's not really a bright thinker, more lizard brain. I think it'd just make him more angry, not any more introspective.

I don't even know any of his songs/music/??. Or Rihanna's songs or most music acts within the last 10 years. The music is so generic sounding. Just like every car on the street, I honestly can't tell you what make each one is, they all look generally the same. We are in a generic pop era and the only way these generic so called musicians can get attention is by acting out. Chris Brown hits Rihanna leaves him then they get back together. That is what I know about these boring people. They are TROLLS! YAWN!
