Uh...East Bound and Down?!

Posted by on Wed, Feb 6, 2013 at 10:56 AM

I've never seen the show East Bound and Down, I don't have cable...not since like the '90s, so I miss A LOT. Well, last week I was turned on to this sweet, sweet jam - "Bat Fight!"

That is ONE solid fucking groove, y'all...and pretty godamn silly. So...this show any good or is it Will Ferrell being Will Ferrell? Which, mostly, I enjoy...

I don't find the Will Ferrell character funny at all, but he's a small part of the action. The music supervisor, however, gets the job done. I would also rep for the music in co-creator Jody Hill's Observe and Report (Patto, Queen, Mclusky, etc.).

It's not as much Ferrell being Ferrell as it is Danny McBride being Danny McBride. If you like his schtick, you'll love the show. It got old after one season, but I still appreciate it for being a pretty funny season.
