I had never heard Slim Harpo's version of "Boogie Chillun" till this morning. It's city as a mofo and I LOVE IT... but, it's a John Lee Hooker song, THE FIRST John Lee Hooker song I ever heard; the weight of THIS SONG runs deep for me. And here Slim "I'm a King Bee" Harpo takes it and runs, GODDAMN!! I'm falling in love all over again... (sigh)
