Fin Records Signs Nissim

Posted by on Tue, Feb 26, 2013 at 2:28 PM

Nissim (formerly D.Black), one of the founders of Sportin' Life Records, which is now Sportin' Life Management (these days management is as important as a label), has signed with the Ballard-based Fin Records. This is a big deal. Fin Records not only has J.Pinder on its roster but is also releasing 12" singles by Grynch and The Physics. Who knew a label in the north would become a significant factor in the 206.

In conjunction with OEMCo, Nissim's non-profit foundation, Fin will be releasing a full length in the summer of 2013. In anticipation of the the upcoming full length Nissim will be releasing a new mixtape "Miracle Music" on Tuesday, February 26th via his Bandcamp page for free.

The mixtape is here...

This is me interviewing D.Black (now Nissim) back at the Dope Emporium event I co-founded with Jace ECAj from Black Stax...

Last time I checked, Ballard, or "the north" as you called it, is still in the 206.
