All reports indicate that the god Rakim killed it last night at Neumos. There was a lot of "I can die happy now" type comments flying around the internets. Much as I love Rakim, I had a Lil Woody's, met some nice folks whilst playing pinball at John John's (NO FIREARMS), and walked home. On the way I stopped by KEXP to steal Girl Scout Cookies from the food table and said hi to DJ Riz, because he's the triple OG awesome uncle soul flower number one.

Speaking of new music: here's a new single from Seattle-based rapper/producer Spekulation (revealed to be the Bitter Barista, which unfortunately got the dude shitcanned)—this features Seattle's soulful okanomodé. The Good Sin, sort of Seattle's answer to Phonte, minus the singing, has as of late been dropping joints steadily under the tag FallBackSeason—here's the latest, featuring Blakk Soul.
