Debacle Fest Lineup Finalized, Features Expo '70, Date Palms, Hieroglyphic Being, Nate Young, More

Posted by on Fri, Mar 1, 2013 at 10:31 AM

The sixth annual Debacle Festival has solidified its lineup for this year's event, happening May 3-5 at FRED Wildlife Refuge, Highline, and Lo-Fi. Debacle spotlights artists working in the drone, noise, electronic, avant-rock, and experimental underground; organizer and Debacle Records boss Sam Melancon has shown impeccable taste in these areas over the years, and 2013's schedule is no exception. The agenda is a challenging mix of national and local acts, with one new twist this edition being the matinee noise show Sat. May 4 at Highline. Another novel wrinkle is having Melancon's MOTOR "mutant-dance" night serving as the festival's climax Sun. May 5 at Lo-Fi. [See below for the complete program.] Hollow Earth Radio is both media partner and non-profit beneficiary for this year's Debacle.

You can purchase full weekend passes at a special discounted rate of $40—one-third off the regular price here.

Check out a blazing new track by Seattle's Black Hat (who plays at Lo-Fi May 5) after the jump.
