Seacats Release New Video, Head to SXSW

Posted by on Mon, Mar 4, 2013 at 10:00 AM

Seacats from Kelso, WA are one of my very favorite Sound Off! alumni—their album Metal Music, is in regular rotation on my summer playlist (you can download it for the bargain price of name your price here) and they're definitely recommended if you like early Weezer, the Rentals, and BOAT.

The band will be releasing a new full-length this summer on Fin Records and today they've debuted a new video for the first single, "Wrecked." The video was directed by Derrick Acosta and Dusty Peterman and now I can't get this song out of my head.

You should let it infect your brain, too:

Seacats are playing the SXSW Send Off Show at Neumos tomorrow, March 5, with Lemolo, OCNotes, and Spac3man. Tickets are available here. They're opening the show, so be sure to get there early to catch Seacats! You think this video is charming? They're even more fun live.

Thanks to this year's GIVE Seattle compilation this has been a favorite the last month or so. That video turned it into a SUPER favorite. Best wishes for them down south.
